I was in a spot like you. It’s all about improvement and getting you're art out there. Learn how to shade and do lighting. Learn anatomy, and perspectives. It was pretty hard for me, I felt much better about my own art when I learned how to do shadows, and moved out of just drawing simple shapes.

There are a ton of artist threads on the Art Forum that showcases there own art, you can do that to get a higher chance of getting scouted. Or you can go there to seek critique in order to get better.
